IS SHEILA DEAD AND LIVING IN NEW YORK?
She won't sleep anymore!
No, she won't...
No wonder how much it is true, no wonder how much she has done to get it.
No wonder how much it is deserved.
Sheila felt drained!
Felt lonely!
Nobody realised she was there, nobody paid attention to her...
It is as if her seat was empty.
Not ever a peep, a lurk, a look.
The whole staff were busy, absent from her... away...
She felt dead, a single shadow.
No matter if leaves or not... anyway, she is about to...
Meanwhile getting her belongings she wonders,
"What have I done to myself? Why on earth am I here?".
Yes, she is in Babel Tower, the most exciting city in the world... there she is, bloodyless, speechless, worthless...
like a little and dirty piece of cloth...
It is time to leave.
Where to?
Nobody gives a damn for her.....
Morose, ungainly, clumsy Sheila leaves her dark office to get home.
Her home? The little tiny flat she felt trapped in?
Started walking, wearing an old anorak, a stripped, dingy skirt, twisted high heeled shoes.
Trodding towards home, like an old horse with a heavy arness...
There she was, her shoes leave holes into the snowy pavement...
Strips of red hair escaped from the hood, like flying, as if looking for something.
They also enhanced her white skin, her pinky red lips...
All of a sudden she bumped into a chestnut seller.
A medium sized, midlle aged man whose smile was so open that, for a litlle while Sheila got out from her thoughts.
He was joyfully offering his chestnuts with a foreing accent.
Only God knows why, but, Sheila stopped and pionted to the smallest paper cone the man has for sale.
"Madam, is this the one you liked?" he asked kindly.
Sheila nodded, in the meantime he srutinized her face with delight, got impressed by her hair, her lips, her skin...
"Here you are madam".
Sheila, looking for some coins in her purse, raised her eyes to look al him.
Hundreds of previous experiences did not allow her to see his charm.
She just got startled... then she left...
Nonetheless, the man started feeling something funny, a hope raised from her humble chest...
He begun to nake Sheila, tore off her clothes, a marvellous fur of a fox replaced them.
He does not see the woman anymore, instead a female fox, red furred, slender animal took her place.
He saw her ambling along the esteppe lloking for shelter, waitng for her mate...
His sight could not possible bear that wonder!
Feeling an irresistible desire he ran towards her.
Meanwhile, different dreams came out, on one hand, the praieres, the foxes, the snow, the freedom...
On the other, his situation, being a lonely inmigrant, had rented a litlle flat, not too bad, bit cosy for him.
There, his musical instruments lay quietly, untouched in a corner.
The chestnut seller wet on dreaming: what I need is red and white!...
Her colours...
I need someone to play my music to, I need someone to care for, to kiss...
Why not her?...
The chestnut continued running towards Sheila...
The snow went on falling onto New York...
